Kathleen Riordan
Kathleen Riordan
Living and working on Lake Buchanan in Llano County lends itself daily to many beautiful and inspiring images from around the Texas Hill Country.  I enjoy living small but happy at the "Ranchero".   I work in a private pottery studio with a view of the lake, the birds, the deer and the wildflowers nearby.  Oh, and the three cats are always lurking nearby.
After being a city girl for most of my life, I enjoy this way of life in the country, exploring the many ways to create pottery and constantly evolving my work.  Every piece is one-of-a-kind.
                                                                 Thanks for visiting.

As a member of the Llano Fine Art Guild, Kathleen taught at Kids Art Camp, hands-on demonstration for the local community and a Brush & Bottle fundraiser for this non-profit Guild, donating her time and materials.  She has also donated pottery for various fundraising auctions and helped out the local branch of our public library by donating specially made cups.
Having trouble pronouncing the name? Many people do....

Riordan is an Irish name and is pronounced "reer" + "don".

Meaning: From ri "king" and bardan "poet" it means "royal poet." In Irish tradition the poet was highly regarded in any royal household as he acted as scholar, historian and adviser to the king.
